Maybe someday

There are plenty of ideas and plans and dreams that make us sigh and say, “maybe someday…” For me, today, they are getting a dog, adopting children, my first show in an art gallery, and making a trip back to Japan, where I once lived for a year. Life’s path has a funny way of meandering on with a mind of its own, regardless of how hard we wish it in one direction. This piece yearns for that someday in the future, but today, as we are enjoying our first snowfall here Indiana, I don’t plan on spending too much time dwelling on things that could be.
