Lost in Translation, 6″ x 6″ encaustic, string on wood
Do you ever feel like your best ideas are the hardest to execute or express? That flash of inspiration that once appeared so clearly (for me, this happens right before falling asleep) gets blurred somewhere along the line. Or maybe the vision is clear in the mind, but once we start to tell someone else or put it down in writing, it becomes elusive, like trying to catch smoke with your hands. Sometimes I think all my artwork is trying to say the same thing, and I might spend the rest of my life trying to say it and never quite getting there.
